Commissioning on FDnet
The control panel is used to commission the detectors. The exact procedure is
described in the control panel documentation.
Commissioning on collective or MS8 detector line
The commissioning of the collective detector line is performed on the control panel.
The exact procedure is described in the control panel documentation.
After commissioning the detector line, the parameter sets can be set with the
detector exchanger and tester FDUD292.
Changing over from collective to FDnet
When changing from a collective detector line with FD20 detectors to an FDnet
detector line, the following must be taken into account:
There is no need to exchange the detector base FDB201 by a detector base
FDB221.
It is not necessary to replace the sounder base FDSB292, either. On an FDnet
detector line the sounder base FDSB292 behaves in the same way as the
sounder base FDSB291 with product version ES ≥30.
When a detector is removed from an FDnet detector line and that detector is
located on a collective detector base (FDB201 or FDSB292), the
communication between the control panel and the next detector is interrupted.
In this case, alarming by the subsequent detectors is no longer possible. A fault
is indicated on the control panel.
Changing over from FDnet to collective
When changing from an FDnet detector line with FD20 detectors on a collective
line, or when new detectors are used on a collective detector line for the first time,
new, collective detector bases are mandatory!
WARNING
Removal of the devices cannot be recognized when the wrong detector bases
are used.
Fire may spread unhindered.
Only detector bases FDB201 and FDB201-AA as well as sounder bases
FDSB292 must be operated on a collective detector line.
Changeover is normally performed automatically. With some detectors, a
temporary fault or alarm may occur during changeover. For details, see Document
008331.
