3.14 Four Way Valve Performance Check

∗ Be sure to wait for 30 sec. or more after turning off the power supply.

Service Diagnosis
Turn off the power and turn it on
again.
S80 voltage at
DC 0 V with
outdoor unit on?
YES
Start the heating operation.
S80 voltage at DC 130-230
V for 3 sec. after
compressor starts, and
then at about DC 12 ~15V
after that? (Fig. 1)
YES
Disconnect the four way valve coil
from the connector and check the
continuity.
Four way valve
coil resistance at
300 ~ 600 Ω ?
YES
Voltage at S80
3 sec.
DC180-280V
DC12~15V
Compressor

∗ Four way valve coil
Cooling / dry : No continuity
Heating : Continuity

Check
Replace the outdoor unit
