Refrigerant Piping Work Installing outdoor unit. 1) When installing the outdoor unit, refer to “Precautions for Selecting the Location” on page 2 and the “Outdoor Unit Installation Drawings” on page 3. 2) If drain work is necessary, follow the procedures below. Drain work.
Refrigerant Piping Work Purging air and checking gas leakage. WARNING 1) Do not mix any substance other than the specified refrigerant (R410A) into the refrigeration cycle. 2) When refrigerant gas leaks occur, ventilate the room as soon and as much as possible. 3) R410A, as well as other refrigerants, should always be recovered and never be released directly into the environment.
Refilling the refrigerant. Check the type of refrigerant to be used on the machine nameplate. Precautions when adding R410A Fill from the liquid pipe in liquid form. It is a mixed refrigerant, so adding it in gas form may cause the refrigerant composition to change, preventing normal operation. 1) Before filling, check whether the cylinder has a siphon attached or not.

Refrigerant Piping Work Precautions for Laying Refrigerant Piping Wall Be sure to place a cap. • Cautions on pipe handling Rain If no flare cap is 1) Protect the open end of the pipe against dust and moisture. available, cover the flare mouth 2) All pipe bends should be as gentle as possible.
Pump Down Operation In order to protect the environment, be sure to pump down when relocating or disposing of the unit. 1) Remove the valve caps on the liquid and the gas stop valves at the pipes for rooms A and B.
Connecting the Humidifying Hose Connecting to indoor unit. Keep the following items in mind in order to prevent the degrading of humidification performance when connecting the humidifying hose to the indoor unit. 1) Cut the excessive portions of the humidifying hoses. * Determine the overall length of the humidifying hoses according to the installation manual for the indoor unit.

Wiring WARNING 1) Do not use tapped wires, stranded wires (CAUTION 1)), extension cords, or starburst connections, as they may cause overheating, electrical shock, or fire. 2) Do not use locally purchased electrical parts inside the product. (Do not branch the power for the drain pump, etc., from the terminal block.) Doing so may cause electric shock or fire.
Test Run and Final Check • Before starting the test run, measure the voltage at the primary side of the safety breaker. • Check that all liquid and gas stop valves are fully open. • Check that piping and wiring all match. Test run and final check.
