Precautions for Your Flash Unit

● Never use organic solvents such as paint thinner, alcohol
or benzene to clean the flash unit.
● Avoid leaving the flash unit for extended periods in places
where the humidity and temperature may be very high
such as in a car.
● Be careful not to subject the flash unit to strong vibrations,
shock or pressure. Use a cushion to protect the flash unit
when carrying it in a motorcycle, car, boat, etc.
● Do not use the flash unit where it may be directly exposed
to rain, water, etc.
● Replace all the batteries at the same time. Do not mix
battery brands, type or an old battery with a new one.
It may cause explosion or overheating.
● When using the flash unit off the camera, do not try to
attach any metallic object to the electric contacts or to
mount incompatible accessories. Otherwise, the TTL auto
mechanism may be damaged or rendered inoperable.
● Do not attach any accessories having either fewer or
different electrical contacts (layout other than PENTAX
standard) for the hot shoe or grip. Otherwise, some
functions may not work properly.

● Gebruik nooit organische oplosmiddelen zoals verfverdunner,
alcohol of wasbenzine om de flitser te reinigen.
● Laat de flitser niet gedurende langere tijd liggen op
een plaats waar de luchtvochtigheid en temperatuur zeer
hoog kunnen oplopen, zoals in een afgesloten auto.
● Stel de flitser niet bloot aan heftige trillingen of schokken,
of aan extreem grote druk. Wanneer u de flitser vervoert op
een motor, in een auto of op een boot, kunt u deze het beste
met een kussentje beschermen.
● Gebruik de flitser niet op plaatsen waar hij wordt
blootgesteld aan regen, water, enz.
● Vervang alle batterijen tegelijk. Combineer geen batterijen
van een verschillend merk of type, of oude met nieuwe.
Dat kan leiden tot oververhitting of explosies.
● Probeer niet, wanneer de flitser los van de camera gebruikt
wordt, enig metalen voorwerp op de elektrische contacten
te bevestigen of niet-aansluitbare accessoires te monteren.
Doet u dit toch, dan kan het mechanisme voor automatisch
DDL-flitsen beschadigd raken of helemaal niet meer werken.
● Koppel geen accessoires met of minder of andere elektrische
contacten (een andere lay-out dan de standaard PENTAX-
lay-out) op de flitsschoen of greep. Sommige functies
functioneren dan mogelijk niet goed.
