n Conditions of the subject change exposure values
The exposure requirements change according to the condition
of the lighting and the subject. Take test shots to determine the
exposure. Taking test shots is essential to proper use of manual
flash mode.
n Compensating flash output with the mode dial
Use the mode dial to set the output of the flash. The mode dial
has seven positions, of which three, "FULL", "1/4", and "1/16",
are for manual flash mode.

FULL Full flash output
1/4 1/4 of full flash output
1/16 1/16 of full flash output
n Procedure
The camera needs to be in manual mode.

Turn the flash on.

Set the mode dial to "FULL".

Measure the subject distance (flash distance).

Use the subject distance guidelines (P.33) to determine a
combination of ISO sensitivity, mode dial setting, and
aperture.

Confirm that the READY lamp is lit, and take a picture.

n Omstandigheden van het onderwerp wijzigen
belichtingswaarden
De eisen voor belichting veranderen afhankelijk van de
omstandigheden van licht en onderwerp. Maak proefopnamen
om de belichting te bepalen. Het maken van proefopnamen is
essentieel voor het maken van goede opnamen met handmatig
flitsen.
n Flitsintensiteit corrigeren met de functiekiezer
Stel de flitsintensiteit in met de functiekiezer. De functiekiezer
heeft zeven standen, waarvan drie, "FULL", "1/4", en "1/16",
voor handmatig flitsen.
Instelling

1/4 1/4 van volle flitsintensiteit

n Werkwijze
De camera moet op handmatig zijn ingesteld.

Schakel de flitser in.

Zet de functiekiezer op "FULL".

Meet de afstand tot het onderwerp (flitsafstand).

Bepaal aan de hand van de richtlijnen voor de afstand tot
het onderwerp (P.34) een combinatie van ISO-gevoeligheid,
functiekiezerstand en diafragma.

Controleer of het Flits gereed-signaal brandt en maak
de opname.
