5. remove any water or foreign ma-
terials or replace the filter as nec-
essary. at this time, be careful not
to let any foreign materials enter
the strainer.
6. install the filter cup to its original
position after checking that the fil-
ter, spring and o-ring are located
in their proper positions. you can
bleed more easily by assembling
the filter cup after filling clean fuel
to two thirds of its level.
7. turn the fuel cock to the air side
and crank for several seconds un-
til the filter cup is filled.
8. check for leakage by turning the
cock to the oN position and start-
ing the engine when the fuel is
filled up to 80% of the filter cup.
9. if engine cannot be started, this
could be due to air in the fuel line.
bleed the fuel line, referring to
"bleeding fuel line".
