REMOVAL AND
INSTALLATION
CAUTION:

Remove battery ground cable.
.
Before
removing
components
fitted with harness, make sure
the relevant connections have
been disconnected.
.
Be careful when removing air
ventilation unit pipings, other-
wise liquid leakages from heater
core may occur.
With reference to exploded view
above proceed as follows:
Remove lower finisher of central
1.
console and unscrew the four screws
securing air ventilation unit con-
trols @ to console (see Group 66 -
Central Console).
Unscrew the four nuts securing

3 . O p e r a t i n g f r o m e n g i n e c o m -
partment inside, disconnect harness
of heater fan 0.
4 . B y m e a n s o f t w o t e r m i n a l s ,
clamp liquide delivery pipings @
to air ventilation unit 0, in order
to prevent leakages.

5. Loosen metal clamps securing
pipings @ to air ventilation unit;
then remove pipings.
6. Unscrew the two screws securing
f r a m e @ of ourer air duct @ to
air ventilation unit; then remove
both.
7. Carefully withdraw air ventila-
tion unit and air ventilation unit
controls a.
8. If necessary, disassemble air
ventilation unit
in order to gain
access to its inner components.
