Operational Range
Depending on the surrounding conditions, the operational range is about 300 meters in the
open. In buildings, the operating distance is about 50 meters depending on the room layout and
construction methods.
If you leave the operational area, you will lose contact with the base station and the ON symbol
will blink in the display. If you have activated the operational range warning signal (this option is
not active when the phone is delivered), then you will also receive a warning signal when you
leave operational area.

Assembly / Connecting the Base Station

You can either set the device in the room (for example, on a desk or shelf) or attach it to the wall.
1. First, insert the mini western plug of your telephone connection cable (ISDN connection
cable) in the socket marked "L1" (the underside of the base station).
2. Insert the mini western plug of the cable of the AC power adapter in the socket
marked „
3. Place the cables in the dedicated cable channels.
If you would like to attach the base station to the wall, then follow steps 4 through 7 , otherwise
move to step 8:
4. Drill two vertical holes (Ø 5mm) at a distance of 120 mm from one another.
5. Insert the correct plugs.
6. Screw the screws into the wall so that a space of about 5 mm is left between the wall and
the head of the screw.

Hang the base station by inserting the heads of the screws into the holes on the base
station and then pull the base station down.
8. Insert the mini western plug of your telephone connection cable (ISDN connection cable)
into the telephone socket (IAE, see page 172).
9. Insert the AC power adapter into the 220/230V socket.
Note:
If electrical power is cut off or if the AC power adapter in not plugged in, then your tele-
phone system will not work.
Use only the delivered AC adapter C 39280-Z4-C65
Make sure that you do not confuse the connection of the telephone cable and AC power
adapter on the base station. If you switch the two cables the base station will not work and
can be damaged.
