WARNING LIGHTS AND MESSAGES

The warning light switches on together with (where
SAFETY
the instrument panel permits) a specific message
and/or acoustic signal. These indications are
indicative and precautionary and as such must not be
STARTING AND
considered as exhaustive and/or alternative to the
DRIVING
information contained in the Owner Handbook,
which you are recommended to read carefully in all
cases. Always refer to the information in this chapter
in the event of a failure indication.
WARNING LIGHTS
AND MESSAGES
IMPORTANT The failure indicators appearing on the
display are divided into two categories: very serious
and less serious faults.
IN AN EMERGENCY
Very serious faults are indicated by a repeated and
prolonged warning "cycle".
Less serious faults are indicated by "warning" cycle
with a shorter duration.
SERVICING AND
MAINTENANCE
The warning cycle of both failure categories can be
stopped by pressing the button MODE. The
instrument panel warning light will stay on until the
TECHNICAL
cause of the failure is eliminated.

BRAKE FLUID LOW (red) /
HANDBRAKE ENGAGED (red)
Turning the key to the MAR-ON position switches
on the warning light, but it should switch off after
a few seconds.
Low brake fluid
The warning light comes on when the level of the
brake fluid in the reservoir falls below the minimum
level due to a possible leak in the circuit.
A specific message is displayed on certain versions.
WARNING
If the warning light
travelling (on certain versions together
with the message on the display) stop the
vehicle immediately and contact a Fiat
Dealership.
Handbrake engaged
The warning light turns on when the handbrake is
engaged.
