Telephone operation

Options while on calls

Handset speakerphone

During a call or message playback, press
speakerphone and normal handset use.

Volume control

During on a call or message playback, press /VOLUME to increase or press
/VOLUME to decrease the listening volume. You hear a beep from the
handset earpiece while adjusting. If you turn off the key tone, the beep will
not be heard.
If this is a cell call and the volume is too loud or quiet, try changing the
volume on your cell phone. On some cell phones, changing the volume on
the cell phone affects your cell call volume on the TL92271/TL92371/
TL92471 handset.

Silencing the ringer

When the telephone is ringing, you can temporarily silence the ringer of the
handset or telephone base without disconnecting the call. The next call rings
normally at the preset volume.
To silence the ringer:
Press SILENCE,
Ringer muted appears.

Mute

Use the mute function to turn off the microphone. You can hear the caller,
but the caller does not hear you.
To mute a call:
While on a call, press MUTE/
handset screen shows Microphone off for a few seconds
and the MUTE icon appears until the mute function is
turned off.
To take a call off mute:
Press MUTE/
Microphone on appears temporarily on the handset screen.
Mute is automatically canceled when you end the call.
