If you attempt
to record on a tape that
has had its erasure
pre-
vention
tab removed,
the VCR will eject the tape.
Ifyou program too muchtimeintotheOTRtimer,
continue
pressing
the REC/OTR
button.
You will "cycle" around
.once you have reached
the 4-hour point. You can start
over,
adding
time in 30 minute
intervals.

If you press the PAUSE
button
during
OTF., the VCR will pause
recording,
but the OTR timer continues
to count down.
If you press PLAY/STOP
during
OTR, you erase the OTR pro-
gramming.
You cannot
use the REC/OTR
button
on the front panel to resume
recording
from the record-pause
mode. Pre_s the PAUSE
button
again
to resume
recording.
UsingOneKeyProgramming
One Key Programming
is a programming
method
that i,_ simple
to use and easy to learn,
without
using tile remote control.
Before you begin,
• you need to know how to view the picture
coming from your
VCR; (see page 22) and
• you must have set the clock. (See page 29.)
To use One-Key
Programming:
O
Load a tape with its erasure
tab intact
into the VCR. If you
have not yet recorded
on this tape, the VCR will test; the tape
with the PerfecTape
® feature.

O
Press
the ONE KEY PROGRAM
button.
(If you haw. • not set
the time, the "Set the clock" menu will appear.
Set t]he clock,
and then proceed.)
If there
is already
a program
in the VCR's
memory,
you will see the "recap" screer.
You can use the ONE
KEY PROGRAM
button
to select an empty
programming
slot,
or you can wait 4 seconds
for the VCR to automatically
select
an empty
slot.
O
You will see the "Program
to record" sc;:een. Press the ONE
KEY PROGRAM
button
until the channel
you would like to
record (for example,
channel
2) appears.
• If you are recording
t_om a cable box, set the channel
to 3
or 4, whichever
the cable box send,_ signals
on.
• If you wish to record from an external
source, press the
ONE KEY PROGRAM
button
until "External
LI" or
"External
L2" appears.
Then, wait for 4 seconds. The word "Day" will be highlighted.
