on the type of TV you are using, the picture
may
vibrate
vertically
when you pause
the VCR's picture.

Sometimes
during
still frame, the picture
may vibrate
or ,;hake.
To correct
this problem,
pres,,_ the CHANNEL
buttons
on the front
panel until the vibration
is reduced
or stops. (Side-to-side
vibra-
tion cannot be corrected.)
usingthe two timesplaybackwithsound
You can see the contents
of the videotape
in double speed play-
back with Hi-Fi sound. Two times
playback
with sound is avail-
able only if your tape was recorded
in extended
(EP) speed. To do
this:

While the VCR is playing
a tape, press tile INPUT
button
on
the remote
control.
You'll see the picture
in double speed
playback.
A certain
amount
of"noise"
in the picture
or the
sound is normal.
_Important:
To resume
normal
playback,
press the PLAY/STOP
button.
If you are playing
back a tape recorded
in standard
(SP) speed,
the sound is muted.
You cannot
hear the sound if you set the
audio monitor
to "Mono" or if' the tape was recorded
on a mono
VCR.

Your VCR automatically
adjusts

picture.
When you press the PLAY/STOP
button
to start
playback,
the D (digital
trac_dng)
light will £ash, showing
that
the VCR is adjusting
the picture.
When the VCR has finished
adjusting
the picture,
the D light will shine ,;teadily.
