Daily Operating Checklist

Remove mower deck belt shields. Clean grass and debris from belt
area.
o
Remove grass and debris from machine and mower deck.
o
Make sure all necessary guards and shields are safely and securely
attached. Check for loose, missing, or damaged parts.
o
Test park brake.
o
Test safety systems.
o
Inspect for oil leaks.
o
Check engine and hydraulic oil levels.
o
Inspect all belts for damage or cracking.
o
Inspect engine air filter.
o
Inspect mower level
o
Adjust cutting height if necessary.
o
Inspect wheel bolt torque. Tighten if necessary.
o
Check tire air pressure. Check tires for damage or cracking.
o
Inspect front caster spindles/wheels.

Testing Safety Systems
CAUTION: Avoid injury! Engine exhaust fumes contain
carbon monoxide and can cause serious illness or death.
Move the machine to an outside area before running the
engine.
Do not run an engine in an enclosed area without adequate
ventilation.
•Connect a pipe extension to the engine exhaust pipe to
direct the exhaust fumes out of the area.
•Allow fresh outside air into the work area to clear the
exhaust fumes out.
The safety systems installed on your machine should be checked before
each machine use. Be sure you have read the machine operator manual
and are completely familiar with the operation of the machine before

performing these safety system checks.

Use the following checkout procedures to check for normal operation of
machine.
If there is a malfunction during one of these procedures, do not operate
machine. See your authorized dealer for service.
Perform these tests in a clear open area. Keep bystanders away.
Testing Operator Presence Safety Interlock System
1.Start engine.
2.Unlock park brake.
3.Move throttle to mid open position.
4.Move left control lever in to engage the operator presence switch.
5.Move PTO/clutch switch to on position.
Result: Mower deck should engage.
