Driving and operation

Cruise control 3

Cruise control can store and maintain
speeds of approx. 20 to 125 mph (30 to 200
km/h). Deviation from the saved speed is
possible on uphill or downhill inclines.
For safety reasons the cruise control
cannot be activated until the foot brake
has been operated once.
Cruise control is operated with
g
buttons m,
, and § on the turn signal
stalk.
Do not use the cruise control if it is not
advisable to maintain a constant speed
(e.g. in situations presenting a danger to
yourself and other road users, in heavy
traffic or on winding, slippery or greasy
roads).
With automatic transmission 3, only use
cruise control in D or in automatic mode
with Easytronic 3.
When the cruise control is active, reaction
times may be increased due to the different
position of the feet.

Warning
Even with cruise control activated, the
driver has full responsibility for
maintaining an appropriate speed.
Disregard of these instructions could lead
to injury or danger to life.
Control indicator m
Illuminates for a few seconds when the
ignition is switched on. The system is now
ready for operation.
When driving, control indicator m will
illuminates as soon as the system is
switched on.
