Starting the engine: Heated rear window,
Manual transmission in neutral with heated exterior mirrors 3:
On
clutch depressed, depress foot brake.
Off
Automatic transmission in P or N.
Heating operational only with ignition
Do not accelerate.
With diesel engines: Turn key to II, switched on.
wait for preheating control indicator ! The heating is switched off
automatically after approx. 15 minutes.
to go out, turn key to III.

Always start in P or N. = Drive position

To leave position, operate foot brake + = Higher gear
and press button on selector lever. - = Lower gear

Window demisting and defrosting:
Set air distribution to l. Turn heating

door windows. Close centre air vents.

Manual transmission:
Reverse gear: With vehicle stationary,
pull the ring up three seconds after
declutching and engage gear.
If the gear does not engage, set the lever
to neutral, release the clutch pedal and
depress again; then repeat gear
selection.
