MEMORIZING YOUR USUAL LISTENING
SETTINGS (SMART OPERATION)
MICROPHONE MIXING _
This function fets you recall your usual listening settings (usual
operation switch and knob settings) at the push of a button.
Press the START/SET button, and the unit searches for an
audio source that is ready to play, and automatically switches
functions before starting playback from that source.
With PD-J215M, put CDs in trays 1 and 2.
PROGRAMMING THE SETTING

1. Select the appropriate settings to be stored.
2. Press the SMART OPERATION MEMORY button.
3. Press the START/SET button within 5 seconds.
NOTE:
Volume will be memorized at the setting that exists when
memorization
takes place. However, high volume settings
above or near the center position cannot be memorized.
RECALLING THE MEMORY

1. Set to play back from the source you want to listen
to,

'f you have memorized TAPE in SMART
OPERATION,
load a cassette tape.
e
Ifyou have memorized CD, load a CD in the CD tray.
2. Press the START/SET button
®
When
playback with a memorized
function is not
possible (for example, when CD has been memorized
and there is no CD in the tray), search for the next audio
source and operate manually in the same way as before
programming the memory.
NOTE:
If no program source is set in the programmed function, the
program will stop at that function.

1. Plug a microphone into MIC jack.
2, Adjust the VOL. (Volume) control to a suitable level.
3. Set the MIC
LEVEL
control to the center

between MIN and MAX.

If howling
occurs

speakers}, take the following steps.
1, Move the microphone away from the speakers,
2. Lower the volume.
4. Select the desired program
source using FUNCTION
selector button.
. Start playback of the program source.
. Adjust the VOL. (Volume) control.
7. Use the MIC LEVEL contro! to adjust the microphone
level in relation to the music source.
8. Talk or sing into the microphone.

recording is not possible on Deck fl.
