Application Scenario FTTx - FTTC Solution A typical scenario is used with P-873HNUP-51B in a FTTC (Fiber to the Curb) solution. The P-873HNUP-51B serves as a home gateway, providing the high speed INTERNET service and High Quality IPTV service. The COE (VDSL switch) is located in a street cabinet, providing a high speed service within a 600 feet range, assuring the bandwidth reaching up to 100/50Mbps (Downstream/Upstream) at maximum.

Login the P-873HNUP-51B via Web GUI. Set up your PC/NB IP address to be a DHCP client. Connect to a LAN port of P-873HNUP-51B via RJ45 Ethernet cable and open your IE browser. The default IP of P-873HNUP-51B is 192.168.1.1 username/password = admin/1234.
Login the P-873HNUP-51B via Telnet. Set up your PC/NB IP address to be a DHCP client. Connect to a LAN port of P-873HNUP-51B via RJ45 Ethernet cable and open your Hyper Terminal software (capable of using TELNET). The default IP of P-873HNUP-51B is 192.168.1.1 username/password = admin/1234.
Click Network Settings > Broadband to modify the type of the WAN Layer 2 Interface. There are three Interfaces support for P-873HNUP-51B. In the Broadband Interface Configuration page, there are three types: ADSL/VDSL over PTM Mode, ADSL over ATM Mode and Ethernet Mode.

The solution currently being utilized is to connect two ADSL/VDSL lines to one router. For this to work, you need a specially designed router, such as the P-873HNUP-51B. ADSL/VDSL Bonding takes two copper based lines per subscriber and aggregates them to almost double the bandwidth speed available to the existing customers and also expands high speed broadband access to areas that are underserved today.
