Heating
Each continuous light unit emits heat through its
halogen light. This can cause heating parts of the lamp
head up to a dangerous level. To avoid injuries, mount
reflectors and light formers (softboxes, etc.) before use
and turning the unit on.
Do not move continuous light units around while they
are operating. Turn the continuous light off before
each change of reflectors or moving the appliance to
another location.
Furthermore, do not operate continuous light units in
the near of inflammable objects. Therefore make sure
that the lamp head is located far enough from
inflammable props to avoid inflaming them.
Take care for sufficient air supply and make sure that
ventilation slots of the continuous light unit are kept
free.
Do not operate continuous light units unattended.
Caution:
Reflectors, speedrings and other accessories heat up
during longer operation. Handle with isolating cloth or
wait until parts have cooled down.
Assembly
When mounting to a ceiling system or a pantograph,
suspended flash heads have to be doubly secured
from falling down or dropping. This is done by
tightening the safety screw (not included in the
standard delivery) into the thread of the Hensel tilting
head.
Due to existing safety regulations, it is, however,
necessary to use a steel cord (Code No. 769) for
further security. The safety rope has to be led through
the handle 6 which then has to be fastened on a
suitable part of the boom or the rail system.

Acclimatizing

When moving the continuous light unit from one
climatic zone to the next, the appliance should stand in
the room, in which it will be operated, for some time
before starting it up. This prevents internal shortcuts
possibly caused by condensing water.
