  • Page 2 INTRODUCTION The Favorit 80800 is a free standing, 60cm dishwasher from the Nuremburg Factory in Germany. Features: -AAA energy rating -45db wash noise decibel rating Loading capacity of up to 12 place settings Horizontal cutlery basket on top of the upper basket.

    The Control Panel On the left of the control panel are the ON/OFF and Program selection buttons. These buttons are also used to perform certain functions: Adjusting the water softener setting Adding or deleting an audible signal to indicate that a wash program has finished.

  • Page 5 Failure of middle spray arm The middle spray arm is monitored by a Hall (magnetic) sensor situated in the inner door panel. This sensor is actioned by a very weak magnet in one end of the middle spray arm. As the magnet at the end of the spray arm passes the Hall sensor a voltage of 4.5 volts is generated which is monitored at the electronic.
  • Page 6 The circulation pump, wash and heating The circulation pump is driven by a single phase asynchronous motor with a 4mF Capacitor connected to the start winding. Different speeds are used during the wash cycle, (depending upon which part of the program is being performed). These speeds are controlled by a Tachometric generator fitted on the end of the motor.
  • Page 7: Turbidity Sensor

    The Turbidity Sensor The machine has 2 automatic programs: Auto 65º and Auto BIO 50º. During these programs a ‘Turbidity sensor’ is used to measure the clarity of the water. This is done by passing a beam of light through the water. The beam of light produces a voltage which is measured and this measurement decides the clarity of the water.
  • Page 8 Fuzzy Detection of the load During the heating step in the main wash two measurements are taken to determine if the machine is washing a full or half load. The first measurement takes place 13 minutes after the start of the heating step and the second measurement is taken 10 minutes later, (23 minutes into heating).
