TROUBLESHOOTING CHART:

PROBLEM .... CAUSE CORRECTION ........
Will not start 1 Out of fuel.
2 Engine not "CHOKED" properly.
Engine flooded.
4 Bad spark plug.
5 Dirty air filter,
6 Dirty fuel filter.
7 Water in fuel
8 L_ose or damaged wiring.
9 Engine valves out of adjustment.
1 Fil_fuel tank.
2 See "TO START ENGINE" in
Operation section,
3, Wait several minutes before
attempting to start.
4 Replace spark plug,
5 CIaanireplace air filter.
6 Replace fuel fitter,
7 Empty fuel tank and carburetor,
refill tank with fresh gasoline and
reptace fuel filter.
8 Check all wiring.
9 Contact a qualified service center,
Hard to start
1 Dirty air filter.
2 Bad spark plug.
3 Weak or dead battery.
4 Dirty fuel filter,
5 Stale or dirty fuel
6 Loose or damaged w_ring.
1 Clean/replace air fiiter.
2 Replace spark plug,
3 Recharge or replace battery,
4 Replace fuel filter.
5 Empty fue! tank and refill tank
with fresh, clean gasoline,
6 Check all wiring.

Clutch/brake pedal not depressed. 1 Depress clutch/brake pedal.
2 Disengage attachment clutch.
3 Recharge or replace battery,
4 Reptace fuse.
5 Ciean battery terminals.
6 Check art wiring.
7 Check/replace ignition switch.
Attachment clutch is engaged.
Weak or dead battery.
Blown fuse.
Corroded battery terminals.
Loose or damaged wiring.
Faulty ignition switch.
Faulty solenoid or starter,
Faulty operator presence
switch(as).
