Placeflatware in the removablesilverwarebaskets.
Sharpobjects, s uchasforksand knives, m ay be placed
with the handlesfacing up, in order to protectyour
hands. For the best wash performance,place other
items such as spoonswith the handlesfacing down.
Avoidallowingitemsto nesttogether,which may keep
them from being properly washed. When loading,
distributeitemsevenlyin the basket.
The silverwarebasketsmay also be used for small
items,suchas measuringspoons,babybottle nipples,
plasticlids,or corn cob holders. T hesilverwarebasket
coverscan beclosedto containsmallitems.
TheEasyAccessSilverware Baskets(on GDF570 and
DDTS7S models)may be positionedon the front of
eitherthe upper or lower racks.Securethe basketto
the rack usingthe wire loop on the front of the upper
and lowerracksto engagethe tabs on the rear of the
basket.
On other models, the silverware basket may be
positionedby placing the hookson the back of the
basketoverthetop wireon the sidesof the lowerrack.
IMPORTANT N OTE:Do not load large or tall utensils
where they may block the detergentdispenser,mid
sprayarm, or becometrappedbetweenthe door and
the gasketwhen the door isclosed.
