Using the Battery Pack
Attachthe batterypackproperlyfollowing
the explanationbelow.Make surethat the
batterypackis attachedfirmly to the player
whenusingit. Otherwise, t he batterymay
become detachedand causeinjuryor
damage. C hargeyourbatterybeforeusing.
Chargingthe Battery Pack
We recommend y ouchargein roomtempera-
ture(68°F) c onditions. N ever disposeof in fire
orwater.
1 Turnthe playeroff.
2 Attach the batterypackto the player.
Attachingthe Battery Pack
Disconnect theACadaptor a ndthepowercord
fromtheplayer, before youattach the battery
pack.
1 Turnthe playeroff.
2 Turnthe playerupsidedown.
3 Insertthe batterypack'scatchesinto the
player'scorresponding holes.Then,slide
the batterypackuntil it is attachedfirmly.
Connect t he suppliedACadaptorandthe
powercordto the player. W hen charging
starts,the CHGindicatorilluminatesred.
When chargingis completed, t he CHG
indicatorturns off.
v/" TIP:
Remove the batterypackfrom the player
whennot in use.
Detachingthe Battery Pack
1 Turnthe playeroff.
2 Disconnect t he ACadaptorand the power
cordfrom the player.
3 Turnthe playerupsidedown.
4 Slidethe batterypack'slock switch,then
slide off the batterypackas shown.
FJ v/" TIP:
Whencharging is in progress, do not discon-
nectthe ACadaptorandthe powercorduntil
the CHGindicator turnsoff.
Whenthe playeristurnedoff, the charging
time is approximately 4 .5-6.5hours
(depending on environmental conditions).
Theattachedbatterypackmaybecome
warm whenyouare chargingit or operat-
ing the player. T his is normal.
A batteryicon _ is shownon the
screenwhen batterypowerpackis running
low.
