If you have run out of fuel:
• You may need to cycle the ignition from
off to on several times after refueling
to allow the fuel system to pump the
fuel from the tank to the engine. On
restarting, cranking time will take a few
seconds longer than normal.
• Normally, adding 4 L of fuel is enough
to restart the engine. If the vehicle is
out of fuel and on a steep grade, more
than 4 L may be required.

CATALYTIC CONVERTER

In order for your vehicle to comply with the
legislation of maximum gas emissions
limits, it is equipped with a catalytic
converter, a device which reduces the
pollution of the gases generated by the
engine, transforming them to less harmful
substances. It is part of the vehicle exhaust
system.
WARNINGS
Vehicles equipped with catalytic
converters should not run in an
enclosed area, as the emitted gases
are harmful to your health.
Do not park or idle your vehicle over
dry leaves, dry grass or other
combustible materials. The exhaust
will radiate a considerable amount of heat
during use, and after you have switched
the engine off. This is a potential fire
hazard.
Exhaust leaks may result in entry of
harmful and potentially lethal fumes
into the passenger compartment. If
you smell exhaust fumes inside your
vehicle, have your authorized dealer
inspect it immediately. Do not drive if you
smell exhaust fumes.
