Cleaning and care

5.1 Cleaning

use petrol, solvents,
abrasive cleaners, or
hard brushes to clean
this appliance.

directly after ironing.

1. Prior to each cleaning, turn the
appliance off and disconnect the
power plug from the power outlet.
2. Let the steam iron cool down com-
pletely.
3. Use a slightly damp cloth to clean
the exterior of the iron. Then dry it
off thoroughly.
4. Wipe deposits off the soleplate
(9) with a slightly damp cloth or if
necessary, with a mild, nonabrasive
liquid cleaner

5.2 Descaling

• To maintain efficiency and extend
the operating life of your steam
ironing station, to avoid scale par-
ticles on your garments, this unit is
equipped with a "Descaling" warn-
ing indicator light (15).
• When the descaling indicator (15)
lights up, you can continue using
your iron normally but you need to
remember to descale the unit be-
fore using it the next time.
