- Knob must remain in vertical position
after adjustment. (Fig 52-1) DO NOT
use the Car Seat with the Harness
adjusted above the child's shoulders as
the child will not be held securely in a
sharp turn, sudden stop, or crash.

11.2.2 Car Seat with Fixed Back

The fixed seat back model of the Car Seat features
three height adjustments for the harness straps.
The harness straps must be used in the slots that
position the straps even with or just below your child's
shoulders (Fig 52-2). The harness straps are adjusted
as follows:
1. Remove the Car Seat from the Base and rotate
the Carry Handle to the storage or non-rocking
position. Place your child in the Car Seat such
that your child's bottom is all the way to the rear
and bottom of the seat.
2. Determine which pair of harness slots will position the
harness straps even with or just below your child's
shoulders. (Fig 52-3) DO NOT use harness slots that will
position the harness straps above your child's shoulders
as the harness straps in this position will not restrain a
small child in a sharp turn, sudden stop or crash.
Knob handle must
be vertical
