6.3 Scanning Barcodes

Double-tap Barcode Testing on the desktop. Point the scanning window (see Fig. 6-1) at the
target barcode and then press the Scan key. Adjust the scanning angle or the distance between
the PT30 and the target barcode (when scanning a 1D barcode, ensure the length of aiming beam
or laser beam is roughly 8mm greater than that of the barcode as shown in Fig. 6-3; when
scanning a 2D barcode, point the focus lamp at the center of the barcode as shown in Fig. 6-4). If
the PT30 decodes the barcode successfully, it will beep with a green LED flashing and the
Barcode Testing window displaying the decoded data.
