Location to Directory

All of the resources of the system are identified for access using a directory numbering sys-
tem. This numbering system has been overlaid upon the various resources according to the
location of that resource in the system architecture. Use this database parameter to swap
the identify of a resource allocation based on location for any of the system extensions.
The system location mapping is as follows:
Location to Directory - Locations

Location of each module
Location 1 = Main Board
Location 2 = 308E (first)
Location 3 = 308E (second)
Location 4 = Option Board
Location 5 = Voice Mail Board
The various circuits of each location are numeric references beginning with 1 and ending
with the last possible port for the location (e.g. Main Board has extension ports 1~10). The
default (factory) allocation of directory numbers for the resources are charted on the next
page:
