REPLACING
BATTERY
_WARNING:
Do not short battery
termi-
nals by allowing
a wrench
or any other object
to contact
both terminals
at the same time.
Before
connecting
battery,
remove
metal
bracelets,
wristwatch
bands,
rings,
etc.
Positive
terminal
must be connected
first to
prevent
sparking
from accidental
grounding.

Lift hood to raised
position.
Remove
terminal
cover.
Disconnect
BLACK
battery
cable
then
RED battery
cable and carefully
remove
battery
from tractor.
Install new battery
with terminals
in same
position
as old battery.
Reinstall
terminal
cover.
First connect
RED battery
cable to posi-
tive (+) battery
terminal
with bolt and nut
as shown.
Tighten
securely.
Connect
BLACK
grounding
cable
to
negative
(-) batteryterminal
with remain-
ing bolt and nut. Tighten
securely

Close
hood.

TO REPLACE
HEADLIGHT
BULB
1.
Raise hood.
2.
Remove
bulb holder from the hole in the
backside
of the grill.
3.
Replace
bulb in holder
and install
bulb
holder securely
back into the hole in the
backside
of the grill.
4.
Close hood.
INTERLOCKS
AND
RELAYS
Loose
or damaged
wiring
may cause
your
tractor
to run poorly, stop running,
or prevent
it from starting.
• Check
wiring.
TO REPLACE
FUSE
Replace
with 30 amp automotive-type
plug-
in fuse.
The fuse holder
is located
behind
the dash.
TO REPLACE
FUSE
Replace
with 20 amp automotive-type
plug-
in fuse.
The fuse
holder
is located
behind
the dash.
TO REMOVE
HOOD
& GRILL
ASSEMBLY
1.
Raise
hood.
2.
Unsnap
headlight
wire connector.
3.
Remove
retainer
clip and washer
from
right hand pivot pin.
4.
Stand
in front of tractor.
Grasp
hood at
sides and slide left removing
hood from
pivot pins and lift hood off of tractor.
5.
When
replacing
hood,
reconnect
the
headlight
wire connector,
and reinstall
the washer
and retainer
clip on the
right hand pivot pin.

TO ADJUST

The
throttle
control
has
been
preset
at
the factory
and adjustment
should
not
be
necessary
Check
adjustment
as described

loosening
cable.

factory
