Connecting a VCR:
To connect a VCR, refer to "Connecting the Antenna and VCR" on page 22. Tune in the VCR test
signal to the TV program number "0" by using the "Manual Program Preset" option. (For details
on how to manually program these presets, see page 36, step A.)
Refer to your VCR instruction manual to find out how to find the output channel of your VCR.
Connecting to external Audio Equipment:
To listen to the sound from Plasma TV on Hi-Fi equipment:
Connect your Hi-Fi equipment to the audio output sockets M if you wish to amplify the audio
output from Plasma TV. Next, using the menu system, select the "Features" menu and set "TV
Speakers" to "Off."
You can select TV's remote control or external amplifier's remote control for controlling
the volume output from the Audio output. Select the remote control by using "Audio
Output" option in the "Feature" menu (page 32).
For a sub woofer
Connect your sub woofer to the SUB WOOFER output jack N using a monaural audio cable.
To listen to Dolby Prologic system sound on the TV speakers:
Connect your Dolby Prologic system decorder amplifier to the CENTER SPEAKER IN terminals
Q if you wish to listen to the audio output from your equipment on the TV speakers. If you
have a Dolby amplifier, connect the center output from your amplifier to the CENTER
SPEAKER IN terminals Q to use the TV speakers as a center speaker. Next, using the menu
system, select the "Features" menu and set "TV Speakers" to "Center in."
When connecting the AV mouse
When you connect the AV mouse and install it in an external amplifier, you can use the external
amplifier's remote control toward the Plasma TV for controlling the volume level of the external
amplifier. Connect the AV mouse to the AV MOUSE input jack R, and install it right above the
external amplifier's remote control sensor.
