Following are examples of symbols you
may find on your vehicle. It is important
to become familiar with them, as they
alert you to various vehicle operating
conditions.

Saturn Security System/
Remote Keyless Entry
You can use your key chain remote
transmitter (or "key fob") to lock and
unlock your doors and liftgate from a
distance of up to 30 ft. (9.7 m).
When using the key fob, be sure there is
nothing between you and the vehicle
that could block the transmitter's signal.
If the key fob does not work in the nor-
mal range, it is probably time to change
the battery. With typical use, the battery
should last several years. Regardless of
the battery, the range of the transmitter
will vary over time and from one location
to another.
Additional features of the Saturn
Security System include active security
system arming, programmable passive
security system arming and illuminated
entry.

Entry Lighting

When you press the UNLOCK button
on your key fob, the dome lamps and
exterior lamps will illuminate for 20 sec-
onds. After a door is opened, the dome
