Engine Maintenance

To prevent accidental starting, remove and ground spark
plug wire before performing any service.

Oil

Change oil when the engine is warm. Refer to the oil
specification to select the proper grade of oil for your
operating environment.
1. Remove oil fill cap/dipstick.
2. Use pliers to slide the spring clamp down the oil
drain hose and pull the hose off the plug bracket.
3. Point the hose into a drain pan and allow the oil to
drain completely. Note: The hose end must be lower
than the engine base to allow the oil to drain.
4. Replace oil drain hose onto plug bracket and slide
spring clamp back into position.
5. Add up to 0.6 qt. (0.6 L) of oil and replace oil fill
cap/dipstick. DO NOT OVERFILL.
