Adjusting the Viewfinder

Mounting the Viewfinder

1.
Confirm that the POWER switch of the camera is "OFF".
2.
Insert the plug into the connection jack of the
viewfinder.
<Note>
Be sure to insert the plug all the way into the connection
jack.
3.
Push the viewfinder down into place.
4.
Tighten the stopper screw firmly.

Position Adjustment

1.
Loosen the crosswise position anchoring ring.

2.
Adjust the viewfinder's position by moving in the
crosswise direction to the left or right.
3.
Tighten the viewfinder crosswise position anchoring ring
securely.

Detaching the Viewfinder

1.
Confirm that the POWER switch of the camera is "OFF".
2.
Loosen the stopper screw.
3.
Pull the viewfinder straight up and remove.
4.
Disconnect the plug from the connector used to connect
the viewfinder.

Cleaning the Eyepiece

If dust has accumulated on the CRT screen or mirror, open
the eyepiece and remove the dust.
<Note>
Since the mirror surface has been specially treated, it is
recommended that a blower or similar device be used to
blow away any dust which has accumulated on it. Bear in
mind that using tissue paper, etc. to pick up the dust may
scratch or mark the surface.

Close the eyepiece by pressing it until the lock button clicks
into place.
<Note>
In outdoor locations, do not leave the assembled camera
standing or carry it around with the eyepiece pointed up at
the sky. The inside of the eyepiece will be damaged by the
heat and light of the sun.
