  • Page 4 Considerations Mounting The Power Plant 5 is stackable on other PS Audio PerfectWave devices, however, because of ventilation issues it is recommended the P5 be on top of the stack of equipment if possible. If wishing to install the P5 into your component rack, the purchase of an aftermarket, custom- designed shelf will be necessary.

    Power Plant 5, slows the pace of initial AC output. A more gradual rise in output voltage allows the connected device to power up fully while not over-taxing either the P5 nor the mains power. At this setting, the Power Plant 5 will use the router and the network to PING the PS Audio Server, essentially saying “hello, I’m an active network device and the router is working.” If the PING does not reach our server after several tries, the Power Plant 5 will assume that the router has frozen up, and will automatically reboot that zone, thereby resetting the router and restoring connectivity.
