Click the [Sharing] tab.
Verify that the "sr_files" folder is "Shared" and that
"\\Computer name\sr_files" appears for [Network
Path].
To configure network settings for Windows 7
Professional

Click [Control Panel] in the Start menu.
The Control Panel appears.

Click [Network and Internet].

Click [Network and Sharing Center].

Click [Change adapter settings].

Right-click [Local Area Connection], and click
[Properties] in the submenu.

Click [Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)] to
select it in the [Local Area Connection Properties]
screen, and click the [Properties] button.

Click the [Use the following IP address] button to
select it in the [Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
Properties] screen, and enter the following for the IP
address and subnet mask.
IP address: 192.168.0.7
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Click [OK].
To verify the network connection between the
SR-PC4/SRPC-5 and Windows 7
First, verify that the SR-PC4 or SRPC-5 is connected to the
Windows workstation via an Ethernet cable (CAT-5E),
and then verify the connection status between the SR-PC4/
SRPC-5 and Windows 7 Professional using a ping
command. Verify using the ping command as follows.

Enter "cmd" in the [Search programs and files] box of
the Start menu, and press the Enter key.
The DOS screen appears.

Enter "ping 192.168.0.5" and press the Enter key.
If the connection is properly established, "Reply from
192.168.0.5" appears.
If there is a problem with the connection, "Request
time out" appears.

To change the initial settings of the SR-PC4/
SRPC-5

Open a Web browser, enter "192.168.0.5" in the
address bar, and press the Enter key.
The SR-PC4/SRPC-5 screen appears.

Click the [DIAGNOSIS] button.

Click the [NETWORK] tab, and enter the following
for [IP ADDRESS], [SUBNET MASK], and [MTU].
IP ADDRESS: 192.168.0.5
SUBNET MASK: 255.255.255.0
MTU: 1500

Click [SET].

When the confirmation message appears, click [OK].

Turn off the SR-PC4/SRPC-5, and then turn it on
again.
The settings are applied after the unit restarts.
To mount the shared folder
1
Open a Web browser, enter "192.168.0.1" (factory
default value) in the address bar, and press the Enter
key.

After connection is established, click the [DISK
SETUP] button.

Select "CIFS" in the [DISK SETUP] screen, and enter
the following for [SERVER IP], [SERVER DIR],
[USER NAME], and [PASSWORD].
SERVER IP: 192.168.0.7
SERVER DIR: sr_files
USER NAME: srpc
PASSWORD: sony1234

Click the [MOUNT] button.
A confirmation screen appears.

To verify whether the shared folder is properly
mounted, enter a directory name in the [MKDIR] box,
and click the [MKDIR] button.
Verify that the entered directory name has been
created and appears in the list.
