Click the SRPC SETUP menu button in the web
application screen, and then click the OTHERS tab.
The OTHERS tab screen appears.

Select either "Auto" or "VTR" in the SRPC MODE
field.
Memo
• Auto: VTR connection is detected automatically,
and the unit operates in VTR mode when a VTR is
connected and in stand-alone mode when a VTR is
not connected. When a VTR is not connected,
system startup may take longer as the unit searches
for a connected VTR.
• The connection with a VTR is not enabled when
Stand Alone is selected in the SRPC MODE field.
Notes
• Restart the power for both the SRPC-5 and VTR
when changing the operation mode to connect to a
VTR.
• The unit cannot be operated from the HKSR-5804
when connected to a VTR.
Format Settings
This sets the format when transferring VTR data to a
server.
Perform this setting in the SYSTEM MENU in OTHERS
CHECK within the MAINTENANCE menu of the VTR.
For details on the MAINTENANCE menu of the VTR, refer
to the Installation Manual supplied with the SRW-5800.

OTHERS CHECK menu.

Set the items in the menu according to the format that
you want to use.
To downconvert 4K/2K files for recording in HD
format, set the items to the values indicated in the
columns below the "Compression (HDCAM-SR)
format" header in the table below.

The formats described in the table above are the VTR
formats supported by the SRPC-5.
Note
The AUX output from the SRPC-5 is not guaranteed
when the SRW-5800 is set to a system format other
than the ones described in the table above.
VTR Remote Mode Settings
Be sure to set VTR to remote mode to enable data transfer
between the VTR (SRW-5800) and the SRPC-5 via a web
application.
Press the NETWORK 2 button on the upper control panel
of the SRW-5800 to light it.

SRPC Mode Settings
Be sure to set the VTR to SRPC mode when using the
SRPC-5 with a connected VTR. Select NW CTRL t NW
I/O MODE in the VTR's SETUP menu and set SDI
MODE to SRPC.
For details on the MAINTENANCE menu of the VTR, refer
to the Installation Manual supplied with the SRW-5800.
