How you start with Lantus/Apidra

Make sure that
you have the
right insulin.
The Lantus
SoloStar is grey
with a purple
injection button.
The Apidra
SoloStar is blue
with a dark blue
injection button.

Remove the
protective cap
and make sure
that the insulin
is translucent.
Proceed to step 3.
How you start with Insuman Basal
1
Make sure that you
have the right
insulin.
The Insuman Basal
SoloStar is white
with a green
injection button.

Remove the protective cap. Tip the
pen slowly at least 10 times (upside
down) to mix the insulin.
After mixing, make sure that the
insulin has an even, milky white
appearance.
