    14.3.2005 rev 2.0 General 1 GENERAL Carefully read the instructions in this manual as they contain important informa- tion regarding proper, efficient and safe installation, use and maintenance of the appliance. Keep this manual in a safe place for eventual use by other operators of the ap- pliance.

    14.3.2005 rev 2.0 2. Safety 2.1 Safe use of the appliance The safety precautions and warnings printed here only refer to the product itself. The operator´s obligations, especially with regard to food hygiene and health and safety in the work place, may also apply, e.g. due to general legal regulations. Such regulations are published by the relevant state authorities not by the machine manufacturers.

    14.3.2005 rev 2.0 3.2 Description This machine is a fully automatic filter coffee machine for small to medium-size volume needs of approx. 100 - 250 cups per day. ● The machine can dispense up to 240* cups per hour. *) Depending on product and cup size. In the case of high coffee dosages (e.g.

Operation instructions 4.1 Setting up When the machine has been installed, connected and prepared for operation according to the instructions, you can now set it up (filling and programming) for dispens- ing products: a) Switching on You can switch the machine on before filling, so that it already starts heating up.
  • Page 13 14.3.2005 rev 2.0 d) Question “Container full?” If the door was open for longer than 10 seconds, the following display message appears: “All con- tainers full?” ● If both containers are completely full, press key 6 to move the cursor to “Yes”, then press key 8 (enter).

    14.3.2005 rev 2.0 h) Setting brew volumes These functions are only available if activated by our Technical Service staff: ● Keep the * key pressed. The following messages appear ● “Storage volume” if the key is pressed once: the machine attempts to maintain the selected volume in the storage urn by repeated brewing.

    14.3.2005 rev 2.0 4.3 Manager menu This menu provides access to the protected set- tings (Manager functions) described in the next chapter provided these have been activated by our Technical Service staff. a) Accessing the manager menu ● Open the machine door and turn the key- operated switch (1) clockwise to the right (black dot in illustration).

    14.3.2005 rev 2.0 4.4 Manager functions When you have selected the manager menu, as described in section “Manager Menu” you can make the following settings: a) Storage volume This setting is described in section “Setting up”. b) (this point no longer applies) c) Coffee jug filling This function enables you to either allow or block coffee jug filling in general.
  • Page 18 14.3.2005 rev 2.0 h) Operating parameters This function enables you to: ● determine three “Fast” times per day, during which the storage urn is kept permanently full irrespective of the storage volume setting. ● set a starting time (Auto-on) at which the machine should automatically start to brew the storage volume.

    14.3.2005 rev 2.0 4.6 Cleaning d) Starting the cleaning program When the spray protection plate has been inserted, as described in c): ● Open the machine door and press the “Start” (S) key (three acoustic signals are given). Close the door again.
  • Page 21 14.3.2005 rev 2.0 e) Daily: cleaning the mixer unit The mixer unit must be cleaned on a daily basis as it contains traces of milk products: Dismantling: ● Pull the outlet tube (O) for instant products out completely both from the mixer housing and the beverage outlet spout at the front.
  • Page 22 14.3.2005 rev 2.0 f) Daily: emptying the coffee grounds drawer ● Empty the coffee grounds drawer (7) whenever you open the door. If this is not done and the drawer is: ● approx. 75% full, a warning symbol appears in the display.
  • Page 23 14.3.2005 rev 2.0 h) Monthly cleaning Once a month the daily cleaning of the mixer unit should be used for a further cleaning operation: ● After the mixer unit has been removed, pull out the small funnel drawer (1) behind the air slit of the funnel and clean it with the other parts in hot water.
