Section 3 - Installation

RAID 0

Under RAID Configuration, Select RAID Type, choose RAID 0. Read the
RAID 0 configuration requirements.
Click Next to continue.
With RAID 0, the two drives are 'striped' into one volume, making it appear
that you have one drive. Data is saved evenly across the two drives.
Map Drive to Network indicates that the NAS has separated the drive into
2 volumes; if the two drives are different sizes, the excess drive space will be
formatted as a separate JBOD volume. To have only one volume, you should
use two hard drives of the same size.
Use the drop-down menus to select a drive letter to map each of the vol-
umes to. For further information, please refer to Mapping a Drive on page 48.
Click Next to continue.
