SAFETY INFORMATION & WARNINGS
Shock Hazard – Electrical Grounding Required
Improper use of the grounded plug can result in electrical shock. If the power
cord is damaged, contact a qualified electrician or authorized service provider
to have it replaced.
This ice maker should be properly grounded for your safety. This appliance
is equipped with a 3-prong (grounding) polarized plug for your protection
against possible electrical shock. Do not remove the round grounding
prong from the plug.
Due to potential safety hazards, this appliance should not be used with an
extension cord. However, if you must use an extension cord, only use a
UL/CUL-listed, 3-wire grounding type appliance extension cord with a
grounding type plug and outlet. The electrical rating of the cord must be
115 volts and at least 10 amps.
Do not use a two prong grounding adapter.
If you only have a two-prong wall receptacle, contact a qualified electrician
to have it replaced with a 3-prong receptacle in accordance with applicable
electrical codes.
This ice maker requires a standard 115 volt, 60 Hz electrical outlet with 3-
prong ground. Secure the power cord behind the ice maker and do not
leave it loose or exposed.
Never attempt to repair or perform maintenance on the unit until the
electricity has been disconnected.
Altering or cutting of power cord, removal of power cord, removal of
power plug, or direct wiring can cause serious injury, fire, and loss of
property and/or life, and will void the warranty.
To prevent the risk of child entrapment, do not allow children to operate,
play with, or crawl inside the unit. If the unit will not be used for an extended
period of time, remove the door and leave the shelves in place so that children
cannot crawl inside. Also remove the door when disposing of the unit.
As with any electrical appliance, basic safety precautions
must be followed in order to reduce the risk of fire, electrical
shock and/or injury to persons or property. Be sure to read all
