@Mr. Anderson, What I mean is to permanently disable the noise. Not just switch it off by opening the door or pressing stop, this I know already. ;-)

The microwave is not in any heat cycle. But when the door is opened the **** and light come on. They then only go off when the door is closed. Is this correct?

No, the Lamona HJA7030 microwave is not functioning correctly if the light and fan turn on when the door is opened but the microwave is not in a heat cycle. The manual states that service should only be carried out by a trained service technician, as it is hazardous for anyone else to perform repairs. It is recommended to isolate the microwave from the mains supply and contact Lamona Customer Care for assistance.

How do I clean the inside of the door? There’s a mesh insert which I can’t readily remove.

Use a mild detergent, water, and a soft cloth to clean the interior surfaces, including the front and rear of the door and the door opening. Do not allow grease or food particles to build up around the door.
