2.1 Installing the Adapter

To install the adapter in your computer, follow these steps:
1. Insert the adapter into a computer
Under the PCMCIA standard, PC Card may safely be "hot swapped"
- it is not necessary to switch the computer's power off before install-
ing or removing the adapter, or any other PC Card.
Find and select a free Type II or Type III PC Card slot on your
notebook computer. Hold the adapter with colorful label upward.
Notice that the label features a triangle or "arrow", which points to
the front end of the adapter. Insert the front end of the adapter into
the PC Card slot, and slide the adapter all the way into the slot until
it reaches a firm stop.
