Replacement of the reverse osmosis membrane cartridge: The reverse osmosis system contains a replaceable membrane cartridge critical to the efficiency of the system. This membrane should be replaced every 18 months, or more often based on your local water. The drain flow restrictor is vital for proper operation of the Reverse Osmosis membrane cartridge. The restrictor keeps water flowing through the membrane at the proper rate. This is to ensure the system produces the best quality product water. Periodically check the restrictor assembly to be sure it is clean and unrestricted.
