Glide™ removes unwanted hair by selectively addressing hair pigment. Varied quantities of pigment
also exist in the surrounding tissue of skin. The quantity of pigment in a particular person' s skin, which is
manifested by their skin complexion, determines the degree of risk they are exposed to using Glide™.
Treating dark skin with Glide™ can result in adverse effects such as burns, blisters, and skin color changes
(hyper- or hypo-pigmentation)
Safe to use
Not Safe!
A unique Skin Color Sensor is embedded in Glide™ to measure the treated skin complexion at the
beginning of each session and occasionally during the session. This Skin Color Sensor ensures that a pulse
will be emitted only on suitable skin tones.
DO NOT USE Glide™ on tanned skin or after recent sun exposure!
Tanned skin, particularly following sun exposure, contains large quantities of the pigment Melanin. This
applies to all skin types and complexions, including those which don't seem to tan quickly. The presence of
large quantities of Melanin exposes the skin to higher risk when using Glide™.
Using Glide™ on skin that has been recently exposed to sunlight can result in adverse effects such as burns,
blisters, and skin color changes (hyper- or hypo-pigmentation).
DO NOT USE Glide™ on tanned skin or after recent sun exposure! Such use
can cause burns or skin injury.
Avoid exposure to the sun for 4 weeks before your Glide™ treatment!
Never use Silk'n Glide™ around or near the eyes – Glide™ is not recommended
for facial treatment
The Glide™ device is not effective on naturally white, grey, blond and red body hair. If your body hair is of
these colors, Glide™ will not work on you.
Hair removal by lasers or intense pulse light sources can cause increased hair growth in some individuals.
Based upon currently available data, the highest risk groups for this response are females of Mediterranean,
Middle Eastern and South Asian heritage treated on the face and neck.
