  • Page 2 Basic Setup Connecting the Telerain Linksys SPA 2102 with a router The SPA 2102 will be placed right after your DSL or Cable Modem before the router. 1. Connect the Internet port of the SPA 2102 to your network Cable or DSL Modem.

    Troubleshooting No Dial Tone Go through this checklist until problem is solved: 1. Make sure the telephone is plugged into the correct port of Phone 1. 2. Make sure the green Power LED is solid lit. If it is not lit, check the power cord. If it is blinking wait few more minutes with the phone on hook.
  • Page 6 Lights Power The Power light shines when power is first plugged in. Flashes blue when connection is being set up. This light should be solid blue when the power is on and the device is ready. It will light up when the router is powered on, and will flash blue as it is booting up, or for a system self-test or firmware upgrade.

We require at least 80kbps in each direction to hold a stable conversation. If you only have, for example, 128kbps upstream and also have a game player, FTP session or some other function going on in your home while trying to have a phone conversation you could end up with your ATA not being able to get the bandwidth it needs to support the call.
