2-2. HOW TO SHIFT TO TEST MODE
1. Set Power-ON while simultaneously holding down the MEMO,
MAIL1, and MAIL3 keys.
2. All 7-segment and ANSWER MAIL LEDs light up. Reset the
message and switches by making jumper settings. After reset, the
7-segment LEDs all show "– –".

2-3-1. LED test
1. Press the MAIL1 key and each segment in its 7-segment LEDs
will light up in sequence for about 200 milliseconds. Next, repeat
the test and make the ANSWER, MAIL1, MAIL2, and MAIL3
key LEDs light up in sequence.
2. The sequence that the 7 segments in the LEDs light up is shown
below.

3. Now press the MAIL1 key to end the LED test.
2-3-2. Key test
1. Pressing the MAIL2 key lights up all the 7-segment LEDs, and
each time the key is pressed displays a number on the 7-segments.
2. The keys and their matching 7-segment No. are shown below.

3. Press the REPEAT and SKIP keys simultaneously to quit the test
mode. The 7-segment LEDs will then show "– –".
3-3-3. Record test
1. Press the MEMO key to erase any recording prior to Record Start-
Standby, and then press the REPEAT key to record from the mi
crophone or the SKIP key to record from the line. The 7-segment
LED display shows a LINE connection.
• CPT detection is displayed on the MAIL3 LED.
• VOX detection is displayed on the MAIL1 LED.
• DTMF detection is displayed on the 7-segment LED.

2. Press the MEMO key once again to quit recording, and return to
standby in test mode.
3-3-4. Play test
1. Press the MAIL3 key to set Record Start-Standby. Next press the
REPEAT key to playback from the speaker or press the SKIP key
to playback from the line. The 7-segment LEDs will then flash
with a "– –" display.
2. Quit playback by pressing the MAIL3 key and return to standby in
test mode.

3-4. Erase test
1. Press the ERASE switch to erase the recording that was made and
return to standby in test mode.
3-5. Quit test mode
1. Turn off the power.
