Problem solving

Q Is it normal that my microwave oven is causing interference with my TV?
A The microwave oven may cause interference to your radio, TV or similar equipment. This does not mean there is a fult with your
microwave. You can eliminate the interference by moving the radio, TV or equipment as far away from your microwave oven as possible.
Q The microwave is not working?
A Make sure the mains plug is plugged in securely. If it is not, remove the plug from the socket, wait 10 seconds and plug it in again securely.
Check the premises for a blown circuit fuse or a tripped main circuit breaker. If these seem to be working properly, test the socket with
another appliance.
Q The microwave power is not working?
A Check to see whether the timer for your programme is set. Make sure the door is securely closed, as otherwise, the microwave energy will
not flow into the oven.
Q Why is warm air coming out of the vents?
A The food generates heat in the cooking process which in turn heats the air inside the microwave. The warm air leaves the microwave
through the air vents. There are no microwaves in the air, or steam. The oven vents should never be covered or blocked during cooking as this
could damage the microwave.
Q How can I get rid of the odour in my microwave?
A If the inside of the oven smells, put a cup of water with the juice and skin of one lemon in a deep microwave bowl. Microwave it for three
minutes, wipe thoroughly and then dry with a soft cloth. This should eradicate any unpleasant food smells
