Difference between AMC R/W and EzWriter
Functions not supported:
1. EzWriter does not support variable coercivity settings. Commands are compatible but
functionally EzWriter treats coercivity settings above 1270 as Hi-Co & others as Low-Co.
2. EzWriter does not support Buzzer function
Extra Commands:
'K' – Yellow LED on (To be compatible with UIC MSR206-HL)
'k' – Yellow LED off (To be compatible with UIC MSR206-HL)
'l' – Yellow LED flash (To be compatible with UIC MSR206-HL)
'9' To detect EzWriter under IDT protocol or to get version string in AMC protocol
Switching Between Protocols:
'ToIDT' – Shift back to IDT (UIC) protocol
'\1BToAMC' – Shift to AMC protocol

Special AMC Emulation Settings

EzWriter Special Settings for special applications
(March 1, 2007)
The following special setting commands are added to EzWriter to support applications
that may need the un-documented operation in AMC Protocol.
(Applies to EzWriter firmware V2.2X and later)
There are four commands. Two commands are used to enter & exit the Special Setting
mode for the Setting Commands and two are used to perform the settings.
Setting Method:
Any RS232 communication utility program with 9600,7,O,1 settings should work.
EzWriter must be in AMC mode for settings. (Workshop can be used to change EzWriter
into the AMC mode). (Reference, the EzWriter default settings are: 9600,8,N,1).
