Plugging the cello to an amplifier

The Cambiare
electric cello uses a passive high impedance bridge. Your cello may be plugged directly
®
into a wide variety of standard musical instruments amplifiers with excellent results.
A preamp should be used when plugging directly to a board. This will maintain the optimal frequency
response of the pickup system.
To plug your cello to an amp, connect a ¼" mono instrument cable into the jack mounted on the back of the
cello.
You can control the output signal of the cello by means of the volume control knob positioned between the
bridge and the tail.
Caution: You will not be able to access the cello's jack while the endpin is fully retracted (endpin
model only). To access the jack situated on the cello's back, you must first extract the endpin at least four
inches (10 cm) out.
Always make sure to turn off the amplifier before plugging or unplugging your cello.
