BIOS Setting

The NEC logo is displayed by the default setting of BIOS during execution of POST. (This is not to
show users the POST screen according to the PC97 specification) If the system detects an error during
execution of POST, the screen changes to the POST screen that shows the error information.
The screen can be selected by SETUP.
To start BIOS SETUP, press F2 during execution of POST. Select the menu by using the arrow keys,
select the item you want to change, and set a new value. For details on SETUP, see the User's Guide
provided with the server.

Console redirection

To select the console redirection function, change the CRS (Console Redirection Switch) on the rear of
the server. The Console output can be changed to Serial or LAN depending on the BIOS setting. To use
the remote console with a software program other than MWA, start the BIOS Setup utility and specify
the serial port to which a console is connected.
Select [Server] → [Console Redirection] → [BIOS Redirection Port] → [Serial 1 (DB-9)] or [Serial 2
(RJ45)]. Set the same parameter for [Server] → [Console Redirection] → [ACPI Redirection].
See the User's Guide.
