Users of TDDs often abbreviate commonly used words or expressions to save time. The following
abbreviations are a sampling of those most frequently used. It is common to omit punctuation.

The TDD operator can also:
• Reach a number you have a problem getting
• Arrange credit on any misdialed numbers
• Report any problem with your telephone
• Check to see if a TDD is available at the number being dialed
• Tell you what a voice recording says if the number you dialed has an answering machine.
